How to Use Astrology for Money
Astrology isn’t just about love and personality…it can also reveal insights into how you earn, spend, save, and grow your wealth.
By looking at key money placements in your birth chart, you can uncover patterns in your financial life, highlight your strengths, and even identify potential roadblocks.
So, I’m back with another step-by-step guide to show you how to do this!
Step 1: Identify Your Key Money Placements
Certain placements and planets often show up in conversations about wealth and abundance:
Jupiter – Known as the planet of expansion and luck, Jupiter can point to where opportunities for growth and financial gain appear.
Venus – Beyond romance, Venus rules pleasure, attraction, and money (especially how you draw resources toward you).
Midheaven (MC) – This angle relates to career and public image, showing where you can make your mark and potentially earn recognition (and income).
North Node – Points toward your life’s growth path. In a money context, it can show the skills and mindset shifts that will help you achieve long-term success.
These are the “headline” placements, but they’re only part of the picture.
Step 2: Understand Your Money Houses
Astrology uses 12 houses, each representing a different area of life. The 2nd, 6th, 8th, and 10th houses are most directly tied to money, work, and success:
2nd House – Your personal income, possessions, and values.
6th House – Daily work, habits, and how you serve others.
8th House – Shared resources, large investments, inheritances, taxes, and other people’s money. This is where joint finances, business partnerships, and wealth-building strategies through collaboration often appear.
10th House – Career, reputation, and legacy.
Even if a house is “empty” (meaning there are no planets in it), it’s still important. Look to the ruler of that house—the planet that rules the sign on the cusp. That planet’s position can reveal more about your money story.
For example: If you have Capricorn on your 2nd house cusp, Saturn is your money house ruler. Wherever Saturn is placed in your chart will give clues about your financial path.
Step 3: Don’t Skip the Aspects
Planetary aspects—how planets interact with each other—add important details. For example:
A trine from Jupiter to your 2nd house ruler might show ease in attracting money.
A square between Venus and Saturn could point to early struggles with self-worth or finances that you learn to master over time.
These connections can show whether your financial growth is smooth, challenging, or requires strategic action.
Step 4: Putting It All Together
When you blend your money houses, their rulers, key wealth planets, and aspects, you get a full picture of your financial blueprint. This isn’t about predicting a lottery win—it’s about understanding your natural patterns so you can make conscious, empowered money moves.
Your Next Steps…
Astrology can’t replace solid financial planning, but it can give you the self-awareness and timing strategies to work with your natural flow—not against it. If you’re ready to understand your unique money blueprint and see how your chart can guide you toward smarter decisions, let’s dive in together.
